Three Degrees. Three degrees Celsius is the average water temperature in February at the Seaside Heights Casio Pier, calculated from data collected over the past two decades. Ironically, the Masonic Polar Bear Plunge Team, “Hiram on Ice” will be diving into this frigid water on February 27th to benefit the Special Olympics.

What is not ironic is that New Jersey Masons, their families, and their friends have so far this year raised over $7,000.00 to support this wonderful charity. Hiram on Ice is currently the third highest donating team for the event.

Masons are the most selfless, giving, charitable organization I have ever had the honor to be affiliated with. But, as any Brother can attest to, Masons also know how to have a good time. The Polar Bear Plunge is a perfect opportunity to join together to have fun, all for a worthy cause.

I invite all members of Sunrise Lodge to join me in assisting this charity. Whether it is to come out and take a dip in the ice cold water, to watch and encourage others from the beach, or to simply make a donation, your support will be appreciated.

Fraternally
